'IRVINE WELSH'S DRUGS AND CLUBBING NOVEL 'ECSTASY' BECOMES STAGE PLAY'

The Irvine Welsh book, Ecstasy has been turned into a play for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Welsh of course is the clubber-friendly author who wrote Trainspotting, among other drug fuelled best sellers. 'Ecstasy' tells the tale of finding love, chemically enduced or otherwise, through clubbing.

The play will run at Baby Belly venues from 31st July until 12th August. Mixmag saw a preview this week and can't recommend it enough. The cast, soundtrack and conversion to the stage are all Grade A stuff!
