DOGS BARKING Letting go after a long relationship can be the most challenging thing for a person. Something that Neil can not seem to accomplish with his ex girlfriend Alex. The play begins with Neil waking on his ex girlfriend's couch. He then proves to be difficult, refusing to leave her flat threatening to claim a stake in the home he abandoned. He wants half of what the flat is worth. In the course of one week Alex and Neil scratch away all that is left of their shattered relationship. Neil can not accept Alex has moved on and Alex can not forgive Neil's past infedelity. He tries his best to manipulate her but Alex's secret is soon unveiled. Alex's sister Vicky and Neil's friend Ray Splodge add humour and help ease the tension that builds between the two ex lovers. Toronto Fringe Festival Reviews: |
